I had a horrendous Friday, don’t feel like going into any details, you’ll have to trust me on that. And since I’d rented out my apartment for the weekend I had to sit in a corner on the couch and try not to shed any hair, which made me even more miserable. haha!

Food
Perfect Tuesday
I’ve had a perfect day, just perfect. Managed to do a little bit around the house, worked some, walked Sammy and now I’ve found the perfect cookie recipe that I’m dying to try.
Listening to Lenisha Nelson- I’m Good and soaking up the cosy atmosphere of my apartment that I’ve the chance to miss when the Airbnb guests were staying here. I definitely need some more light. And some more candles. And I’m so painting the bedroom in November! Limestone paint is the trick for a dark, luscious bedroom.
Busy days
These last two weeks have been full of good food and visitors. Although I´m still waiting to get paid and consequently I could have eaten the case officer alive, I´ve done my best to be a good host and enjoy the company of friends and family. First my cousin came from Romania with a couple of her friends and stayed for a night and then went on an adventure in the Southern and Western Norway, climbing mountains and getting engaged (the friends, not the cousin). 😉

June
I can´t believe June is almost over! It feels like I haven´t done much, simply postponed stuff from one day to the other and watched the days go by in a colour haze. My moods are still exhausting and I´d very much need a holiday from myself, anybody know the feeling?

Finally!
I can barely believe it, spring is finally here! You have no idea how long I´ve been waiting for it, walking around in tiny jackets and freezing my b* off! But yesterday it finally came to town!

A weekend getaway
Yesterday I had an assignment in Trondheim and so I suggested we should go there on Saturday, so we could have a little bit of time to wander around and eat our way through town. 😉 Which we did- lovely lunch at Baklandet Skydsstasjon on Saturday, hipster coffee at Soil and romantic dinner with a view at Astrum Grill and Raw Bar. 😉
The weather was horrendous, 3 seasons in one day, first sunny, even though it was freezing cold, then it started raining, then snowing, then hailing. Go figure. I was of course not too happy about it, I think winter is long enough as it is in Norway and now spring is long overdue. Oh, well. Nothing to do about it, though.

London in pics
This was my last getaway in a long time now. 😉 Too much running around and too little work done lately. The laundry keeps piling up, haven´t touched a book in a month and I´m behind with billing, too. Not to mention accountancy. Uæææææ!
Enough about that, though. London was great, as always. I was there in December last year, but before that I hadn´t been in the UK in 6 years and I realised I´d really missed it. Nature was in full bloom, although it was cold as f*, the food was yummy and my friends were great, as always. 😉
Friday yay!
I survived this week, although I had my doubts! You see, I forgot my luggage on the train to Skien on Tuesday and I had serious withdrawal symptoms from my Mac. 😉 I was longing for it like we ache for love-haha! Talk about addiction! But now we´re reunited! ❤

Romania 2016
Being at home for a few days at the beginning of January was so soothing! It´s a wonder how family and close friends have the power to get you on the right track again, help you pull yourself together. 😉 I already wrote a couple of entries on the trip, but now I got the pictures to go with the story and it´ll be easier to see what I mean. 🙂
Just look at us, three generations of beautiful and strong women! 😉 Every time I speak to this little lady here I feel my chest swell with so much love, it´s amazing I don´t choke! She´s that special, the little rascal! 😉 So funny, too! She makes me laugh so hard I start hiccuping!
“Hi, how are you? I´m fine!”
“Hi, sweetheart! I´m good, too!”
“Who are you with? I´m with my baby doll!”
Rome on my mind
Back home to a frozen Oslo and minus 18, I can´t help but wishing I lived somewhere else entirely. I woke up this morning and had to literally race to the kitchen to make the fire, or else I wouldn´t be able to walk around without the duvet wrapped around me.
Anyways. Back to Rome. What a city! Maybe this is the way to see it, after all, not chase after experiences, like I probably did last time, but let go of all expectations and see where it takes you, what it has in store for you. I love being able to walk around with hasty steps, like I have a purpose, music in my ears, let my eyes linger on a building, smile at the sight of a balcony overgrown with plants, reminisce something from another lifetime, then suppress it with the reluctance of swallowing cough syrup.
