A new chapter in my life begins in a month or so, when I’m moving in with my boyfriend (formally), after selling my apartment. Our plans are to drink rosé on the terrace the whole summer and find a new place together in the fall. I’ve loved living here so much! Take a look! ❤ Continue reading

Almost there
Hi, peeps, what have you been up to lately? 😉 This week I rented my apartment to a Marketing School and they’ve been filming something so loud that my neighbours were asking if I had a Swingers party in there. Haha! Can you even imagine?
So we’re staying at F’s and we have a balcony! Yesterday we even got half an hour of sunshine on our faces while sipping some beer. Sam is mostly outside, he even stayed on the flower bed while it was snowing, I don’t know why I’m even surprised, he’s a regular polar dog! 😉 Continue reading
My Apartment
I promised you a couple of pics with my freshly painted apartment. I’ve tried to style it a bit, mostly with new plants, since I love my stuff and I find it hard to part with it for a lighter image. 😉

It’s a Hard Knock Life
Hey, how have you been? Back from holidays? Taken a plunge into reality yet? 😉 My week started with a pang on Tuesday, but I did get a couple of hours here and there to give my apartment the love it needs in order to be sold on the first home inspection. So now that I’m done with the bedroom and living-room, almost done with the kitchen floor, I only need to wash the whole place spotless (which my cleaning lady will do) and style it, so it’s ready for the photographer and soon for the hoards. haha! I know I may lack a little in modesty, but hey, I can’t help it, I simply believe I have a better sense of style than “the girl next door”! 😉
Getting there
Hi, how are you all doing? I’m pretty well. Except for the fact that I’m tired and short-tempered most of the time (winter and depression combined), it feels I haven’t been this well in years. Had I no been approaching the moment when I have to sell the apartment and all the effort this implies, I’d be on top of the world. 😉 A huge electrician bill, a new dishwasher and a cooking top, painting the bedroom and the living-room are only a couple of examples on things that have to be in place before the apartment can be put on the market. In addition to that, I’m busting my ass off working to pay the remaining debt to the fiscal authorities when all I can do is dream about how our new apartment will look like and how I can’t wait to decorate it. Dark, dreamy colours and quality furniture will hopefully characterise this new part of my life, since there will be less need to fill empty rooms and consequently we can take the time to find the right stuff. Dreaming of New Stuff
I have a new favourite webstore- VAAR! Haven’t bought anything there yet, but both exclusive furniture, amazing vintage jewellery, ceramic bowls and retro lamps are on my list! 😉 The shop came to life as an extension of the photo studio, the owners write, and you can definitely see they have a trained eye.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved the Egg by Arne Jacobsen. Both the organic form and the cognac color appeal to me and owning something this timeless is a dream for all us interior aficionados. Continue reading
Advent
As I was laying in my bf’s bath tub a couple of days ago, it struck me that in a couple of months’ time (not even that!) Christmas will be here and with it the whole shebang and I’m just not ready for it. I’m still broke and I still haven’t got any any closer to selling my apartment and it kills me to be in such a mess and, most of all, not knowing when it’ll end.
But hey, I survived this year, so I’m probably going to make it to next year, too. 😉 Meanwhile, I reminisce how everything used to be so good at Christmas time. I remember my first Christmas as a host and how happy I was to be putting together the menu- a crisscross of Eastern and North European cuisine, then all the years after when I’d bake cookies for work and make Christmas chutney and Lemon curd as go-to-gifts and felt like Christmas was the best time of the year.
Perfect Tuesday
I’ve had a perfect day, just perfect. Managed to do a little bit around the house, worked some, walked Sammy and now I’ve found the perfect cookie recipe that I’m dying to try.
Listening to Lenisha Nelson- I’m Good and soaking up the cosy atmosphere of my apartment that I’ve the chance to miss when the Airbnb guests were staying here. I definitely need some more light. And some more candles. And I’m so painting the bedroom in November! Limestone paint is the trick for a dark, luscious bedroom.
My future abode
I’m a diva to the bone- crazy about the real bourgeois feeling with dark colors, heavy velvet/silk curtains, wooden board flooring and industrial windows. Also I’m a sucker for the artsy chaos you see in the magazines, but find it hard to stop when the look is just right and end up with a bohemian look instead. Continue reading
On fall and life
This week has been crazy busy, I´ve been working like mad, travelled to Molde and back, which ruined me for a couple of days, shone the house for an airbnb guest, bought some flowers and a much-needed pair of jeans from Filipa K. Continue reading
