As I was telling you about, I have a school project on documentary photography and that brought me “all the way” to London. Did I mention I have two close friends living here and that it was my birthday on Friday? No? ‘Cause these two facts might have played a minor role in my choosing one of them as the person to follow over the course of three whole days . 😉

Sunny Days
After a gloomy August and a handful of rainy days in the beginning of September, the sun is out again and all of a sudden, life is so much easier to live. I’m done with two weeks in court in a horribly boring case, done with a mind-numbing written translation, so my will to live is stronger than ever- I must sound suicidal, in reality I’m only very very blasé. London in pics
This was my last getaway in a long time now. 😉 Too much running around and too little work done lately. The laundry keeps piling up, haven´t touched a book in a month and I´m behind with billing, too. Not to mention accountancy. Uæææææ!
Enough about that, though. London was great, as always. I was there in December last year, but before that I hadn´t been in the UK in 6 years and I realised I´d really missed it. Nature was in full bloom, although it was cold as f*, the food was yummy and my friends were great, as always. 😉
London part 2
Today was a strange day. That day of the month again (God, I need to change my traveling dates soon, it´s starting to get on my nerves!) when I can barely stand myself, let alone others. Luckily, I didn´t have a lot of plans for the day and the few plans I had didn´t include people until 7 pm, when I met up with Lavinia for drinks and pulled pork in a Texas burger joint. 😉
So I woke up in physical pain at 6:45 am, took a pill and a shower, made myself some tea and waited for the house to wake up. 😉 The toddler and Camelia appeared half an hour later, both cutie cute, searching for his milk bottle around the apartment. 😉 We had breakfast, in turns, then they left for his baby sitter and her work, while I went back to sleep for 3 more hours. Praise the Lord for freelance life! 😉
London 2016
I´m in London for 4 days again after a very busy week and it´s great fun, although British winters are what they are- wet, windy and grey. But God, do I love this city! So much choice in terms of things to do, food to eat and people to talk to! So cosmopolitan, I feel so good amidst all these nationalities, so at ease with their politeness, their inclusion and their diversity. I almost feel like I belong.
Petit Corée
Last weekend´s trip to London had a couple of nice surprises in store for me, including this exquisite culinary experience at The Petit Corée, a Corean French fusion restaurant in West Hampstead.
I was there with Lavinia, her boyfriend and her sister, Natalia, whom I didn´t manage to get a decent picture of, though.
London
London, you were such a treat! I feel refreshed and kind of back on track again. I even managed to sleep without neither wine nor a sleeping pill! 😉
December
There´s no snow here yet
It´s a wet December
And I find most things a drag.
I´m off to London in a bit,
I´ll get my big city fix
And maybe some drizzle to go.
I love London, though
It´s a friendly place
For drinks and people watching
For getting lost in the masses
And for letting go.

Eclectic London home
Wow! What a bold and colorful home! I love the art and the modern elements like the bike in the living room, although I´d never allow it in my own home!;-) And I could only dream of a purple couch, since my husband believes our home suffers from too much woman touch already. Notice the vintage mirrors in the hallway, they play so well with the staircase. On the whole, the decor harmonizes with the house´s architecture. The best place must nevertheless be the large and airy kitchen with direct access to the terrace. And I would´t mind their bedroom, either. Just lovely!
Long time, no London
I was reading something today and realized how much I miss London. I need to make time for a short trip to the city that has it all. I need to be walking alongside millions of people, indulge in a cake by Covent Garden, shop at Notting Hill, go Asian at Wagamama and raid a couple of flea markets for jewelry and antiques. I´ve been to London four times, but I feel you need to go there twice a year in order to keep up with the city. I love its people, its coolness, its contrasts. I´d appreciate any suggestions for my coming trip. 2014 is the YEAR for trips, babies and a driving licence! Here I come!
