The second half of this year I’ve spend working my ass off, billing and paying debts and I’m still miles away. 😦 Luckily I’ve had a couple days out of town here and there, so I used each opportunity to have a short city break. And Stavanger was no exception. I was there in court with a good friend of mine for two days and we had a blast. Heroines by day, superwomen by night. Haha! I’m exaggerating, of course, all we did was have a late dinner on the first evening and an early one the second one. But it felt so good catching up, no kids to tend to, no dog to walk, lots of time to buy the last Xmas gifts (for her) and to get a Xmas haircut (for me). Continue reading

Summer in September
I keep reading this September has the highest temperature recorded in over 100 years and while I´m concerned about our planet´s future, I couldn´t be happier for a prolonged summer. I can put on some shorts and a t-shirt and take Sammy out for an evening beer in the neighbourhood. 😉 Continue reading
Back from the Mother Country
I´m home again and it´s lovely, but also a bit sad. I came back to fewer things in the apartment since V moved all his stuff and it left me with a strange feeling , although we´d agreed upon it, so it was no surprise. It´s the end of an era and it hurts, even more so when it comes with the realisation that hardly anything lasts, not even love. Or at least ours didn´t.

Weekend
I started on this entry on Wednesday and called it Hump Day (aka Wednesday, don´t think of silly things, please!), at that time I was frustrated with the world and its lack of courtesy, so I felt grateful to be two days away from the weekend, Prosecco glass in my hand. 🙂 Yesterday however I was in a different state entirely, so I changed the title to Almost Weekend and uploaded these serene pictures to go with it. I didn´t manage to write any text, ´cause my mother called and we talked for ages. Then she passed me Diana, who told me silly little things like “people have to tidy up, you know. hihi!” And I was like “Let me see you when you grow up, how fun you think it is then!” haha! So today I realise it is the Weekend, which reflects in my choice of title. 😉
Summer in my thoughts
With April here and May around the corner, I find myself thinking about summer more and more. I fancy myself wearing thin white dresses, drinking cocktails and walking around barefoot, with Sammy by my side. 😉
I´m back!
Hi, how are you all? I´ve been down with the flu for the the better part of last week and it´s been horrendous. And as if being inactive wasn´t a bore in itself, laying in bed for so many days in a row threw out my back, too! Every inch of my body hurt, I could barely breathe and I either froze or had hot flashes, in fact I had to change the sheets so many times I didn´t have anything to put on the bed in the end!;-)
Things I like
I made a list of things I like
Like foreign film
Prosecco, dark chocolate
Good books
And good lays.
Things I love though
Are kisses on the forehead
Late night confessions
A good ratatouille
A walk in the forrest
And the cat jumping on the bed
With the menace of a never ending snuggle.

London part 2
Today was a strange day. That day of the month again (God, I need to change my traveling dates soon, it´s starting to get on my nerves!) when I can barely stand myself, let alone others. Luckily, I didn´t have a lot of plans for the day and the few plans I had didn´t include people until 7 pm, when I met up with Lavinia for drinks and pulled pork in a Texas burger joint. 😉
So I woke up in physical pain at 6:45 am, took a pill and a shower, made myself some tea and waited for the house to wake up. 😉 The toddler and Camelia appeared half an hour later, both cutie cute, searching for his milk bottle around the apartment. 😉 We had breakfast, in turns, then they left for his baby sitter and her work, while I went back to sleep for 3 more hours. Praise the Lord for freelance life! 😉
Romania 2016
Being at home for a few days at the beginning of January was so soothing! It´s a wonder how family and close friends have the power to get you on the right track again, help you pull yourself together. 😉 I already wrote a couple of entries on the trip, but now I got the pictures to go with the story and it´ll be easier to see what I mean. 🙂
Just look at us, three generations of beautiful and strong women! 😉 Every time I speak to this little lady here I feel my chest swell with so much love, it´s amazing I don´t choke! She´s that special, the little rascal! 😉 So funny, too! She makes me laugh so hard I start hiccuping!
“Hi, how are you? I´m fine!”
“Hi, sweetheart! I´m good, too!”
“Who are you with? I´m with my baby doll!”
Bucharest
I asked my doctor some years ago if he´s sure I´m not bipolar and he said yes. But while re-reading what I wrote yesterday, I can´t help but wonder if I should get a second opinion. 😉
Today I´m fine. I spent a fortune at Max Mara and Stefanel, but that´s not the reason. The sun is shining and I´m in love with Bucharest again. It´s always been a constant in my life and right now I need as many constants as possible.
