I’ve always been a bit absent-minded, but lately it’s been getting worse and worse. I don’t know if it’s because the last couple of years have been tough on me, if it’s the medicine or if it comes with age, but I hope it’s not going to be like this forever ’cause one day I’m going to find myself in trouble.

Let me just tell you a couple of episodes, so you can see what I mean. A couple of weeks ago I asked a colleague of mine if he’d be willing to take over a case for me, since I’d be in Rome one of those two days. When I was about to send an email and let the court know about the change, it turns out it was in September, not August. And that was a bad day anyway, ’cause I had another trial that day, so I had to give it away only my colleague wouldn’t be able to take it, since he was busy as well.
Hey, how have you been? Back from holidays? Taken a plunge into reality yet? 😉 My week started with a pang on Tuesday, but I did get a couple of hours here and there to give my apartment the love it needs in order to be sold on the first home inspection. So now that I’m done with the bedroom and living-room, almost done with the kitchen floor, I only need to wash the whole place spotless (which my cleaning lady will do) and style it, so it’s ready for the photographer and soon for the hoards. haha! I know I may lack a little in modesty, but hey, I can’t help it, I simply believe I have a better sense of style than “the girl next door”! 😉
I survived a couple of intense weeks, including commuting for 3 h every day four days this week, but that left me completely without energy. And so my plan for today is to walk Sammy, Netflix, nap, Hbo, nap again, drink mulled wine and scratch my crotch. (not literally, of course) And then bake some pizza and espresso cookies. All this longing,
For lands unseen
And people unknown,
For a self untainted
By everyday hassle.
I´m longing for naked pages,
And naked spaces.
If I could catch my spirit
I´d bottle it down
And stare at it for hours
Pull a face at it
And maybe caress it
Hush, little baby,
Don´t you cry.
Yesterday I was a bit under the weather, feeling lazy and lacking energy. I´d already decided it was about time to take Sammy for a walk in the woods and so I sticked to it, although I got a couple of “better” offers from friends- coffee in the city, for the record. 😉 But as a mother you need to put your baby ahead of yourself and so at 11 o´clock we were already on our way to Frognerseteren for the first time this fall. Heia! How have you been? I´ve been running around these couple of days, between jobs, friends and home and my whole body hurts as though I´d been working with my back! Besides buying groceries and taking Sam out once out of three times, I haven´t done that much, but working as an interpreter sure takes its toll on me. After a 9 hours´ day, I usually fall half-dead on the couch and watch Hbo with V. (we´re on Brotherhood now and we love it!)
Today was not as busy however, so I managed to squeeze in a long awaited coffee with a friend of mine and Sam. We sat outside with our necks stretched towards the sun (while Sam was hiding under the bench) and I almost had a heat stroke, I swear! But it felt amazing, after all these cold days, when winter seemed to be never-ending, you need a bit of sun to feel alive again!
I´ve just landed in Bergen, the weather is rainy and I´m too tired for dinner, so I grabbed a burger on my way to the hotel and was happy to find wine in the fridge, regardless of the crazy price. 😉 Changed into a bath robe and getting ready for Twin Peaks, I discovered this inspiring blog and wanted to share it with you first. It´s about food, design, style and an artful living, I´m in! 😉
