I’ve always loved a short getaway before Christmas and this year we were so lucky as to be invited to one by F’s work- a spa hotel half an hour away from Oslo. 😉 We left by train on Friday afternoon just after two and returned yesterday after lunch, meanwhile making good use of both the spa areas and the comfy bed with a sea view. 😉
I did try to get out with my camera for a sightseeing round and I did just that for a quick 5 minutes, but as it was raining, I sought refuge inside with a cup of tea. 😉 Continue reading
London, you were such a treat! I feel refreshed and kind of back on track again. I even managed to sleep without neither wine nor a sleeping pill! 😉
Yesterday I was a bit under the weather, feeling lazy and lacking energy. I´d already decided it was about time to take Sammy for a walk in the woods and so I sticked to it, although I got a couple of “better” offers from friends- coffee in the city, for the record. 😉 But as a mother you need to put your baby ahead of yourself and so at 11 o´clock we were already on our way to Frognerseteren for the first time this fall. You know those old ladies walking around with small dogs like they were their babies? That´s me in 30 years, only with a big fur baby! I´d made up my mind, I was never going to turn into one of these crazy dog ladies! I couldn´t stand them! Such a lack of insight! And yet I am all of that now. Most of my spare time revolves around Sam. I talk to him on the street. I kiss him loudly and I ´d do pretty much whatever it takes to make him smile, like in this picture.
I´m home again and it´s never felt better! I´m a delicate soul who gets very tired when traveling, so today I´m going to spend my morning in bed, then go for a long walk with Sammy and put my affairs in order in the afternoon.
But let me tell you more about my travels, it´s been great! I can never express enough gratitude for working as a freelancer and being my own boss! It´s so good for my nerves! ahahah! 😉
I´m working on a two days case on this island in the middle of Norway and I find myself hoping it was summer and that I had a whole week off to explore it like I should! (not that I have a driving license, but still!) Hitra is just stunning! The nature is unlike everything I´ve ever seen before (I might be exaggerating, but you should know it´s not intentional, I´m generally a grateful tourist!), the houses are cutie cute and I´ve seen both fish, sea urchins, a sea star and a deer! All that in just 1,5 days! 😉 Continue reading
These amazing nature photographs are taken by Lucia Bujor for the Facebook group called “273 places you have to see before you leave Romania”. They picture a fairytale-like landscape in Muntele Mic, Caransebes, when trees, grass, creaks and fences are covered in rime, just before winter sets in. I don´t know about you, but as much as I love white palm trees beaches, my heart skips a beat when I see images from home. Enjoy and let next year´s trip go to Romania!
