No Rome pictures, yet, I still haven’t been to eplehuset. But I’ll tell you a bit about our organising the apartment, so it can fit our needs and aesthetics, considering most of my things are in a storage room somewhere.
We’ve ordered a new couch and we’re getting it by mid-October, can’t wait. My old one is in storage (and when moving it I realised it’s pretty well scratched and a bit yellowish, too, so I’ll probably sell it for peanuts afterwards) and F’s is too small for two. I’m not sure it’s this one and the color is grey anyway, but you get the picture. 😉
Also he’s sold and given away a couple of things to make room for mine (hehe!) and now I’m looking at headboards to unburden an old door from its present function. 😉
I’m dreaming of a new rug, too, but I haven’t said that aloud yet. 😉 Was thinking of this one here. What do you reckon?
Last, but not least, we need a new table. His old one is very masculine and I want the apartment to look like we both live here, right? Let’s see what he thinks about the pink one. haha!

Today was a really crappy day. It started with the dentist pulling one of my front teeth, so that the others can fit my mouth. Really gross and painful stuff. And besides I look like someone punched me in the face. On top of that, I have a terrible cold and when I’m not sneezing, I’m blowing my nose. And as if that wasn’t enough, I’ve lots of printing and stapling to do since taxes are around the corner and I haven’t given it a thought until now.
This May is funny, we had a whole week of sunshine and now it’s back to grey and freezing days. But we’re hanging on, spring is here although we’re still wearing scarves, just look at the trees!
A new chapter in my life begins in a month or so, when I’m moving in with my boyfriend (formally), after selling my apartment. Our plans are to drink rosé on the terrace the whole summer and find a new place together in the fall. I’ve loved living here so much! Take a look! ❤ Continue reading
I promised you a couple of pics with my freshly painted apartment. I’ve tried to style it a bit, mostly with new plants, since I love my stuff and I find it hard to part with it for a lighter image. 😉
Hey, how have you been? Back from holidays? Taken a plunge into reality yet? 😉 My week started with a pang on Tuesday, but I did get a couple of hours here and there to give my apartment the love it needs in order to be sold on the first home inspection. So now that I’m done with the bedroom and living-room, almost done with the kitchen floor, I only need to wash the whole place spotless (which my cleaning lady will do) and style it, so it’s ready for the photographer and soon for the hoards. haha! I know I may lack a little in modesty, but hey, I can’t help it, I simply believe I have a better sense of style than “the girl next door”! 😉
Hi, peeps! What are you up to? I’m done painting, throwing stuff away and organising, now I’m ready for guests! 😉
This is my humble home, come stay with me and let me show you around (and bake you cookies). Continue reading
Big changes are followed by small changes. I cling to the past, to things being the way they always were, but there are no cat steps anywhere to be heard and the week I don´t have Sam the apartment is full of silence. A strange silence, a silence I don´t know what to make of. Continue reading
Although living in Norway for 15 years will definitely affect your perception of style, Parisian apartments remain the embodiment of chic for me. A sucker for all things bourgeois and at the same time a lover of clean lines, I find myself drawn to quirky, eclectic abodes, somewhat eccentric and at the same time where the owner is not trying too hard.
Daphné Desjeux and Dorothée Delaye are the interior architects who renovated this 110m2 place and I think they did a marvellous job! Take a look!
I was out of town for 3 days for work and I can´t even begin to tell you how good it is to be home again! Hotel life is smooth enough if you have someone to share it with, but when you have to eat alone two days in a row and watch silly series on TV because you decided to be “generous” with your significant other and leave the Mac at home, not so much… 😉
On my way home I got to pick some wild flowers and they light up the whole house! 😉 I also might have bought a pair of high heels sandals, although the budget didn´t allow it. 😉 Oops!
