Let me tell you about my Copenhagen trip. I’ve been so busy with work and Airbnb I didn’t have the chance to blog that much lately. Did you like the professional pictures of my apartment? Home inspection next week! Fingers crossed!

Secret Garden in Copenhagen
I’m back from a lovely weekend in Copenhagen and I thought I’d drop you a couple of lines. I was there on a girls’ trip with Heidi and I had the best of times- we walked around, stopped by a couple of vintage shops, had a glass of wine in the sun, bicycled around the city, ordered a smørrebrød for lunch, went to an exhibition at the Contemporary Museum and chilled by the harbour with a beer.
It’s a Hard Knock Life
Hey, how have you been? Back from holidays? Taken a plunge into reality yet? 😉 My week started with a pang on Tuesday, but I did get a couple of hours here and there to give my apartment the love it needs in order to be sold on the first home inspection. So now that I’m done with the bedroom and living-room, almost done with the kitchen floor, I only need to wash the whole place spotless (which my cleaning lady will do) and style it, so it’s ready for the photographer and soon for the hoards. haha! I know I may lack a little in modesty, but hey, I can’t help it, I simply believe I have a better sense of style than “the girl next door”! 😉
Shopping in Copenhagen
Shopping in Copenhagen is definitely more fun than in Oslo! I had a tight budget this time, but that didn´t stop me from scoring a few scoops nonetheless! 😉 It´s tight budgets that set creativity loose, right?
I loved this place- Studio Travel Vintage, which I stumbled upon in the heart of Copenhagen, in a desperate attempt to locate last year´s gem, that had unfortunately closed its doors in the meantime. I´m sucker for high-end vintage, minimalist presentation and good service and this place had all of the above! I´d rather pay twice as much as in a regular store if somebody does the selection beforehand, so I don´t have to spend hours hunting for treasures. The choice was easy here, they had many cashmere sweaters and I found a lovely V-neck one in black, that will probably be a favourite for years and years. Continue reading
Last day in CPH
We´re home again after a grand weekend away from dog walks and cat poo, from fussing over dinner and going to work at all hours of the day. It´s been so good- sleeping late, eating out, having drinks with friends and discovering the neighbourhood. We´ve mainly kept to Vesterbro, with the exception of yesterday, when we walked all the way to Nyhavn, the canal downtown. The funniest part was when we realised Dyrehaven was just around the corner from our place and we´d walked for at least 20 minutes, round and round the block. Haha!

Pizzie turns 50
This whole trip to Copenhagen was a spontaneous thing to attend Pizzie´s 50th birthday party yesterday. It was a genuine experience, like few others in my life. I have to start by stating I´m no party person, I seldom dance, I´m a bit shy when it comes to conversation with new people, I don´t drink that much and I don´t smoke, either. I enjoy sitting on a couch and find a couple of persons to chit chat with, while drinking bubbles. 😉
Weekend in Copenhagen
Greetings from Vesterbro, Copenhagen! We landed yesterday morning, it´s been drizzling ever since and the grey skies invite you to hibernate. Fortunately, we´ve rented a lovely apartment with airbnb and we can do just that. We took an early flight yesterday morning (and the only person who hates early flights more than me is V!) and we spent the afternoon in the neighbourhood, ate some yummy smørrebrød at Dyrehaven, had a coffee at Enghave Kafé and bought some wine at a local winery. I had me a nap while V watched Netflix and then we paid our friends a visit in Østerbro, where we shared some champagne and V helped with peeling root veggies. I was being a diva on the couch with an electric blanket on my belly since “that time of the month” renders me totally helpless.
Copenhagen October 2015
Weee, we´re going to Copenhagen again this fall! In just 2 weeks´ time we´ll be strolling down its quaint alleys and go for an amazing smørrebrød in one of its pretty cafés. We´re celebrating a friend of ours´ 50th birthday on Saturday and otherwise we´re thinking of just going with the flow, no shopping budget this time, so we might as well follow Nana Hagel´s recommendations from her interview with Ignant. In case you haven´t heard of her (although she´s quite famous!), she´s a travel and food enthusiast and writes for several magazines. 😉 Continue reading
Industrial apartment i Copenhagen
Living in Scandinavia means making the best out of the little light we have half of the year. An old factory with 400 m2 and 34 windows makes Morgens Dahl and Jette Egelund truly fortunate. I love everything about it!
Copenhagen part II
Yesterday it rained all day and my depressive state of mind would have prevented me from doing anything at all had I not been on a city break and had a frisky husband and friends. 😉 We started with a cup of latte and some tea buns typical for the Copenhagen area, took our umbrellas with us and made our way to Østerbro gade for a walk and, hopefully, some shopping. 😉 We entered several cool shops- toy stores, Norman Copenhagen´s design haven, a French brocante so overpriced not even I could justify buying anything there and some vintage stores. After buying a soft white bunny for my niece, I was left breathless when we entered Second, a luxury vintage store like the ones I can only dream of in Norway! Moreover, they had a gorgeous pair of burgundy stiletto heels from Stella McCartney in my size! I was sold! I also found a lovely knitted jacket with silk lining and managed to bargain for a nail polish as a free bonus!;-)
