One of the good things about being a freelancer, besides taking a nap and baking cupcakes at noon once in a blue moon, is that I get to travel to places I haven´t been before or, even better, places I love already! ❤

Weekend in Copenhagen
Greetings from Vesterbro, Copenhagen! We landed yesterday morning, it´s been drizzling ever since and the grey skies invite you to hibernate. Fortunately, we´ve rented a lovely apartment with airbnb and we can do just that. We took an early flight yesterday morning (and the only person who hates early flights more than me is V!) and we spent the afternoon in the neighbourhood, ate some yummy smørrebrød at Dyrehaven, had a coffee at Enghave Kafé and bought some wine at a local winery. I had me a nap while V watched Netflix and then we paid our friends a visit in Østerbro, where we shared some champagne and V helped with peeling root veggies. I was being a diva on the couch with an electric blanket on my belly since “that time of the month” renders me totally helpless.
Parisian Apartment
Although living in Norway for 15 years will definitely affect your perception of style, Parisian apartments remain the embodiment of chic for me. A sucker for all things bourgeois and at the same time a lover of clean lines, I find myself drawn to quirky, eclectic abodes, somewhat eccentric and at the same time where the owner is not trying too hard.
Daphné Desjeux and Dorothée Delaye are the interior architects who renovated this 110m2 place and I think they did a marvellous job! Take a look!

House of my dreams
I´ve always dreamt of the whole shebang- a man and three kids, a cat and a dog and, last but not least, a house with a garden in the middle of the city! For now I can only check husband, cat and dog! And a pretty airy apartment not far from the city centre at all. 😉
However, we´re kind of outgrown the place and besides we crave some private space outside and this cute little beauty would give us just that! Don´t you just love it? I could easily envision myself living there. And it´s two minutes from The Food Court I´ve been talking so much about lately.. 😉
A Walk alongside the Aker River
The best thing about Sundays is waking up late, drinking coffee in bed and doing something together as a family. We usually pick a route and buy some potato nan from our local Indian place (Punjab) and then walk to a coffee place. We´ve been talking a lot about following the river Aker upstreams, back in the day it used to be quite shabby, but now they´ve cleaned it up really nicely and we didn´t meet any drug addicts or dealers in our way.

Brasov
Yesterday we traded Bucharest for Brasov, just to change the scenery a bit and get some fresh air. We bought the train tickets, some pretzels and a magazine and off we went on a 2,5 h ride to Transylvania. I couldn´t believe my eyes when I met a Romanian friend of mine from Oslo on the same train! With her cute 1,5 year old! She was heading the same way, so we sat together, laughing and “poking” the little one´s cheeks.

Hitra
I´m working on a two days case on this island in the middle of Norway and I find myself hoping it was summer and that I had a whole week off to explore it like I should! (not that I have a driving license, but still!) Hitra is just stunning! The nature is unlike everything I´ve ever seen before (I might be exaggerating, but you should know it´s not intentional, I´m generally a grateful tourist!), the houses are cutie cute and I´ve seen both fish, sea urchins, a sea star and a deer! All that in just 1,5 days! 😉

Walk with my Best Bud, Sam
Yesterday I worked for 14 hours straight, including traveling hours and believe me, they were work! Sitting in front of two chatty teen-agers on the train is no fun when your head is throbbing with pain and all you want to do is get some sleep! I did get to wolf down a burrito and a beer with some friends, though, before heading home to sleep for 10 hours on end. The upside is I woke up before 8 today! 😉 Meaning I had lots of time to unwind before embarking on an adventure in the woods with my bud, Sammy boy. 😉 The weather was gorgeous, as you can see, the snow was melting and my influenza is finally giving me a rest.

Sunny Saturday Stroll
Yesterday was such a lovely day and we sure made the best of it. Since V had a day off, too, we decided we should have a city day. And what better way to be urban than walking around with our fluffy polar bear? 😉
A Sunday in Oslo
Today was such a bright and beautiful day it would have been a shame to spend it anywhere else than outside. Although we´re heading towards the end of February, the weather is still quite crisp and we had to go back for gloves, to put it like that. 😉 We live in the Eastern part of Oslo, the multicultural “old town” and love it! It´s such a nice and friendly place, a brisk 10 minutes walk from the city center and only a stone throw away from Grønland and all its colorful (and extremely cheap) eateries. 😉 So we walked to Punjab, as I mentioned in my earlier post, but couldn´t settle for a potato nan, so we had the whole shebang- Chicken Karhai. Oh, yum! If you´re ever in Oslo, it´s a must!
