I’m back from Marrakech with an obnoxious cold due to the temperature difference (23 there and -2 here) and a serious case of wanderlust. Being my first time out of Europe, I was fascinated and overwhelmed. Imagine yourself thrown back in time a hundred years at least, donkeys wandering the streets, men with carts shouting about their merchandise, bicycles and scooters driving past you with a speed that renders you dizzy, lamb legs hanging from hooks, sheep heads rigorously lined up waiting for their customer, people trying to point you into their direction all the time, bright colors shimmering from everywhere, too much to take in at once for your senses.

Bucharest
I asked my doctor some years ago if he´s sure I´m not bipolar and he said yes. But while re-reading what I wrote yesterday, I can´t help but wonder if I should get a second opinion. 😉
Today I´m fine. I spent a fortune at Max Mara and Stefanel, but that´s not the reason. The sun is shining and I´m in love with Bucharest again. It´s always been a constant in my life and right now I need as many constants as possible.
London
London, you were such a treat! I feel refreshed and kind of back on track again. I even managed to sleep without neither wine nor a sleeping pill! 😉
Rainy Bergen
One of the good things about being a freelancer, besides taking a nap and baking cupcakes at noon once in a blue moon, is that I get to travel to places I haven´t been before or, even better, places I love already! ❤ Continue reading
Shopping in Copenhagen
Shopping in Copenhagen is definitely more fun than in Oslo! I had a tight budget this time, but that didn´t stop me from scoring a few scoops nonetheless! 😉 It´s tight budgets that set creativity loose, right?
I loved this place- Studio Travel Vintage, which I stumbled upon in the heart of Copenhagen, in a desperate attempt to locate last year´s gem, that had unfortunately closed its doors in the meantime. I´m sucker for high-end vintage, minimalist presentation and good service and this place had all of the above! I´d rather pay twice as much as in a regular store if somebody does the selection beforehand, so I don´t have to spend hours hunting for treasures. The choice was easy here, they had many cashmere sweaters and I found a lovely V-neck one in black, that will probably be a favourite for years and years. Continue reading
Fall fashion
I´m still on a self-imposed shopping ban, but that doesn´t stop me from making wish lists as I used to do back when I was 16! My style is pretty classic, I try investing in key pieces, so I don´t need new stuff all the time, but I still feel the need to “reinvent” myself from time to time. This is what caught my eye lately:
- Max Mara camel coat
- Joseph- Charlie wool and cashmere-blend skirt
- 3. Iris and Ink- Thea cotton boyfriend shirt
4. Raoul- Chunky-knit cardigan5. Jil Sander- Leather-trimmed suede boots
What do you think?

Filippa K
I don´t know about you, but Filippa K is my favourite Scandinavian brand. In my mind, their light, simple and a bit androgyn line embodies the very Scandinavian elegance. Wearing their clothes I´m seldom overdressed (my cardinal sin otherwise), I can move without restrictions and I feel drop dead gorgeous. This year I´ve cut down on my shopping drastically, but I´m thinking of splurging a tiny bit as soon as the sales are here! 😉 (needless to say I´d love their entire collection!)
Modern Tribute
If you’re into mid-century design, this is the place to go in Oslo! They have so many lovely lamps, amazing ceramic pieces, not to mention the furniture! We end up buying something every time we´re there. Oops!
For the femme fatale
Wish I weren´t on a self imposed and oh so necessary shopping ban.. Meanwhile I´m dreaming of Hérvé Légère´s dress paired with those fab Miu Miu shoes and the Balenciaga leather bracelet. Sigh.. Continue reading
Saturday
Yesterday I was out for a stroll in the neighborhood with Sam. We stopped by Reprise, my favorite second hand shop in Oslo, where I found a gorgeous cashmere shawl from UK and chatted with the owner about reviving our street. We then crossed the icy park without falling (actually Sam did, but I was lucky not to), heading to Kampen, a quaint area with small and colorful wooden houses, where we bought a birthday card in a pretty flower shop. Further up the street, I had cauliflower soup at Lille Kampen, while Sam waited patiently outside, since dogs are not allowed in eateries in Norway. It was dusk time and the colors were so pretty I almost failed to notice the cold. We should do this more often, we told ourselves.
