I’m back from France and ready to start a new semester of work and play. Ok, more work than play, but still. Turning 36 in a month´s time and since I´ve been obsessing about getting older for a while now, I made up my mind that as long as there´s enough champagne, I will survive! 😉 Continue reading

Montpellier
Your beauty is majestic. I suck in your loneliness in the early hours. I want you all for myself. Wrapped up in my own blur of thoughts, while stepping out of the dark. You cure the sadness of my soul. When you kiss me, I forget it all. Continue reading
Easter Holiday
On Sunday evening we came home from Montpellier, France, to 10 degrees, everyday worries, bills to pay and my very own zoo garden, as my father puts it. 😉
Summer
It´s 2nd of June and there´s no sign of summer at all in Oslo. In fact, I turned up the heat yesterday and today, after venturing outside in the rain, with a broken umbrella and a pair of patent leather Louboutins for no reason at all (it turned out my services weren´t needed after all), I came home with a single urge: to make myself a warm cup of tea and put on a pair of wool socks. And since the prospects of hot weather are slim this year (we´re only going to Berlin in July), I thought I should take you with me on a trip to memory lane by showing you a couple of pictures from previous holidays and my outfits, of course. 😉
Normandy
Five years ago we were in Paris for a meeting my husband attended with his work at that time, Le Palais des Thes. And since it was summer and we´d heard so much about Normandy, we decided we should give it a try. It´s only a 1,5 hour train ride away from Paris and the accommodation not a bit as soaring as in Cote D´Azur. We´d seen for us lovely food, sunbathing by the sea and Indian nights. Such poor judgement! The food was amazing in every way and so was Honfleur, where we chose to stay at our friends´ recommendation. The truth is it was lovely in every way, but not exactly what we´d imagined.. After a couple of days of rain, the sea was agitated and swimming not allowed. I think we might have ended up going to Greece after all that summer, just to get our dose of sunshine.;-) Living in a Nordic country means one should take one´s intake of vitamin D seriously! 😉
Dreaming of summer
After spending 12 days in Romania, where summer had come to stay, I feel rejuvenated and ready to plan a trip to the riviera. Unfortunately, this won´t happen too soon, since we´re going to a trade show in Berlin in July and have to prepare a bit for that. But we´re either going to NY, Nice or Copenhagen in September and besides, summers can be a real treat in Oslo, with the proximity to the harbor and all the islands a boat trip away. 😉 No matter how it turns out, this is what I´m dreaming of wearing this summer. Entertaining light
One of my most favorite activities is entertaining! And what better way to do it than by serving the goodies you´ve just brought home from your holiday? This evening was a bit spontaneous, it happened the day after we came home from Paris. We invited our neighbors and friends Annette and Ryan and their dog, Emi over for a chat. Emi is Sammy´s girlfriend, so she had to be present, too!;-) Over a glass of wine and some vivid impressions from our trip, we devoured saucison (the half dried French sausage), macarons, French cheese, Norwegian jams from the Farmers´Maket, rillette de canard (duck meat spread) and fresh baguette. It was informal and delightful! We should do that more often, we concluded! What do you serve from your trips abroad?;-)
