After spending 12 days in Romania, where summer had come to stay, I feel rejuvenated and ready to plan a trip to the riviera. Unfortunately, this won´t happen too soon, since we´re going to a trade show in Berlin in July and have to prepare a bit for that. But we´re either going to NY, Nice or Copenhagen in September and besides, summers can be a real treat in Oslo, with the proximity to the harbor and all the islands a boat trip away. 😉 No matter how it turns out, this is what I´m dreaming of wearing this summer. I feel spring coming, already fed up with winter and wool sweaters and what better thing to do for welcoming a change of seasons than buying fresh flowers and putting together a wish-list?;-)
For the pretty season I wish for an Isabel Marant coat, pinkish Salvatore Ferragamo ballerinas, Burberry Brit t-shirt, Dolce et Gabanna diva shades and, last but not least, a silk dress and leather bag from Chloe.
No, I´m not getting this for Christmas, but I love pretending I´m the type of business woman that could afford about anything I set my eyes on. 😉 haha! (that´s the diva in me speaking!) So if I could treat myself to a really nice outfit without burning a hole in my pockets, this would be it! 😉
These days it’s all about Mad Men and the 60s! I simply adore Joan- her studied elegance, her hair, her hips, her bosom and her wit. I love that she´s not afraid to be a woman, the way most of us are these days. I don´t mean you have to wave your hips when walking, but you don´t need to hide in jeans all the time, either. You´re beautiful, so why not show it?!;-)
For 6 weeks now I´ve been mainly in court and that gave me a perfect opportunity to wear my nicest dresses. Call me shallow, I´m the first one to admit it, but nothing saves the day like a good old fashioned dress and a nice pair of stockings. 😉 And since December is right around the corner, who cares that I´m on a shopping ban, I can still dream of a wardrobe renewal! For those of you following my blog for a while, it comes as no surprise that I´m overdressed for most occasions. I don´t mind it anymore, though. I think people should make more of an effort on an everyday basis. Besides it cheers me up, so why not? Here are some hot items this winter:
Living in Norway has been good to my fall wardrobe. Since the temperature is usually somewhere between 10 and 20 degrees with the exception of a short summer and an occasionally freezing winter, wool, cashmere and silk blends are perfect to combine. This fall I have lengthier trials which call for an impeccable outfit. What better way to managed that than by investing in some classic key pieces that´ll hopefully never go out of fashion! Choose a wool jacket (black, grey or navy), a sweater dress or a chic wool dress, a couple of heels and some cosy sweaters and you´re good to go!;-)
My favorite brand of all time is Max Mara, but I can only afford stuff from them a couple of times a year- when I buy things that last like a camel hair coat, an office bag and some killer heels. Otherwise Fillipa K and Acne have a nice selection of Scandinavian wear and the prices are more in my street. I´ll show you some of my favorite fashion pieces this fall. (PS. There´s a fair chance they´ll be rather similar to last year´s since I tend to like the same type of clothes. ;-))
If I were to be going out this evening, this is what I´d wear!
