Wish list
I´m still working on my apartment, especially on the airbnb room to be. 😉 I only need a double bed and some colour on the walls now. This is what I wish for this fall for the rest of my place.
Fall
Summer is over and with it, my traveling adventures, too. Hoping there might be a bit of roaming at work, not too much, though, just enough to steady my wanderlust. Meanwhile, I´m still waiting to get paid, 7 weeks overdue, yes, but hey, the court house clerks receive a pay check every month, so what do they care about freelancers?

I’m opening an Airbnb
I´ve been talking about it for ages, postponing all the time due to lack of time, inconsistency as well as a generally over furnished apartment and life. But now it´s happening! I need to order a bed, some curtains and a small coffee table, give the room a fresh coat of paint and tidy up a bit and I´m there! In a couple of weeks’ time I hope to be on the site.
I haven´t taken any pictures of my home recently, but if you´ve read my blog you´ll know I like mid-century design with a splash of colour. I promise fresh smelling bed sheets, flowers on the bedside table, lots of coffee and a giant pancake breakfast-although I´ve never been a morning person- haha!
Meanwhile I´m getting some inspiration here and there.
Fall in August
It´s freezing cold, it´s been raining for 4 days now, it stops for a couple of hours and then it starts pouring all over again. I hate rain so much I wouldn´t even get out of the house if I didn´t need to work and walk Sammy. And being as weather sick as I am, you can only imagine what an amazing company I must be! 😉
Yesterday I was in Ålesund, a pretty town on the Western coast of Norway, and not only was it raining, but the temperature was as low as 11 degrees. Brr! I´d put on more clothes than necessary in Oslo, but somehow it wasn´t enough, not when you´re walking around in wet ballerinas. Luckily it was only for work and only for a few hours, but by the time I got back it was raining cats and dogs at home, too. Arghhh!
Mornings like these
Mornings like these, when you wake up rested and wonder what time it is, then lie awake in bed and find the pain is gone. I knew it would happen some day, the way love passes, so does hurt, but the realisation is consuming nevertheless, I can live again without guilt or remorse, I can open the windows and breathe in the fresh air without almost feeling it´s a sin to be alive.

I can´t believe June is almost over! It feels like I haven´t done much, simply postponed stuff from one day to the other and watched the days go by in a colour haze. My moods are still exhausting and I´d very much need a holiday from myself, anybody know the feeling?

Yayoi Kusama
If you haven´t had the chance to see the exhibition yet, you should! I´ve been meaning to go for ages and I´m happy to say I can finally check it off my list! It closes on the 15th, so it was now or never. I´d never been to Henie Onstad, mainly because I don´t drive and I never go out of town if I don´t have to, unless it´s for the big abroad!
But Kusama was impressing! Of course, we could have picked a better day, Sundays are busy and there were queues and kids everywhere, but then I´m not the very artsy type, so I didn´t need ages to see everything, I was happy to take in the atmosphere and get dizzy from all the polka dots. 😉

Lately
How y’all doing ? These days I´m still a bit up and down and I tend to find people tiresome. And since I meet lots of them in my line of work, some days I´m simply beat without doing much at all. 😉 I don´t even know if it´s anxiety or good old contempt. My therapist planted this idea- what if your contempt for people is rooted in contempt for yourself? Too deep on a Friday evening, though. 😉 haha!
As long as I have my bear and my special someone though, all´s good in the world. We´ve had a bit of sun lately (although it´s still awfully cold!) and so I´ve been exploring the neighbouring woods with Sammy boy. 😉
