After a gloomy August and a handful of rainy days in the beginning of September, the sun is out again and all of a sudden, life is so much easier to live. I’m done with two weeks in court in a horribly boring case, done with a mind-numbing written translation, so my will to live is stronger than ever- I must sound suicidal, in reality I’m only very very blasé. I started on this entry on Wednesday and called it Hump Day (aka Wednesday, don´t think of silly things, please!), at that time I was frustrated with the world and its lack of courtesy, so I felt grateful to be two days away from the weekend, Prosecco glass in my hand. 🙂 Yesterday however I was in a different state entirely, so I changed the title to Almost Weekend and uploaded these serene pictures to go with it. I didn´t manage to write any text, ´cause my mother called and we talked for ages. Then she passed me Diana, who told me silly little things like “people have to tidy up, you know. hihi!” And I was like “Let me see you when you grow up, how fun you think it is then!” haha! So today I realise it is the Weekend, which reflects in my choice of title. 😉
Besides being a walking tornado, I´ve either been too busy traveling or working, or I´ve had too much time on my hands, which, funnily enough has the same outcome: I don´t get to do shit around the house and I´m still behind with most things, including laundry and billing. Not to mention grieving and getting on top of things. But hey, what are the 30s for, besides figuring out your place in the world? haha! 😉 (I´m in a glorious mood today, watch out!)
November started with a pang: I´ve attended two conferences already, I´ve got a lot to do at work and our social arena has been stuffed with birthdays, gatherings and such. And it´s only a matter of time before all those Christmas party invitations start rolling in. At the same time, my body responds later and later, it´s getting dark early and light- late and I´d sleep most of my days off, if only I could. 😉 😦
This week has been a good one, both professionally and weather-wise. Sommer returned for a couple of days and brought a smile upon everybody´s face and a strong desire to live. We went to the Botanical Garden, had lunch and coffee breaks outdoors and a picnic in the park. Unfortunately V was stuck by a needle, so we ended up at the Emergency Room yesterday evening, to take a blood test. I tried to comfort him while he had a rant about drug addicts and how they ruin a perfectly good park where lots of children play all the time. The rest is not suitable for a public blog. We were advised not to dramatise the situation, since only an infinitesimal amount of people end up being infected. But it´s a horrible situation to be in none the less.
