Spring Wish List

Aside from needing to replace my dead plants, rearrange my office and put my economy in order (Gosh, I’ve been saying that for years!), I could do with a couple of new things in my wardrobe, too. 😉 1-17-22872-S16-navy_collection1

Spring days

Although I must have forgotten to take my pills today, with a fabulous disposition (not) and throbbing anxiety as an outcome, there’s no doubt I’ve been feeling much better lately. Yesterday I even made some chocolate mousse, caught a movie-“Hail, Caesar!” by the Cohen Brothers (God, they´re a bunch of loonies!) and had a couple of drinks, on an almost regular Wednesday. 😉  By the time I went to bed it was past “Christian hours” (I love this expression in Norwegian!), so there´s a slight chance that today’s shape might be directly linked to that.. 😉 haha!

Wishing for summer

Now that spring is here (at last!), I find myself dreaming of summer more and more. In fact, it´s just a couple of months away! Summer for me will always be bare toes, white houses by the sea, lazy mornings in bed, garden parties, cocktails, flowers and beach babes. What´s your idea of a perfect summer? This is mine!

Happiness

Poetry eludes me again,

Between sick, busy and in love

There´s little time to ponder.

I want to write about good stuff, too

But I don´t know how

It´s like I´m more private with happiness

Than I am with sorrow,

People are usually the other way around.

I read somewhere once that happiness

Is boring to write about

Because we´re all happy in the same way

Whereas unhappiness is individual-

That´s where the real beauty lies.

I don´t know about you

But I´ll take happy any day

I´ll smile from ear to ear

Just because I can

And if that makes me silly

So be it,

I caught my own eye in a window

The other day:

I haven´t been so beautiful in ages.

March 2016

I´m back!

Hi, how are you all? I´ve been down with the flu for the the better part of last week and it´s been horrendous. And as if being inactive wasn´t a bore in itself, laying in bed for so many days in a row threw out my back, too! Every inch of my body hurt, I could barely breathe and I either froze or had hot flashes, in fact I had to change the sheets so many times I didn´t have anything to put on the bed in the end!;-)

Spring wardrobe

There hasn´t been much sign of spring in Oslo yet, but yesterday I could smell it for the first time, through my bedroom window, as I´m lying in bed down with a cold.

Spring always gets me in the mood for a change and since change is all I´ve been through lately, now I´ll concentrate on the harmless changes, like a seasonal wardrobe and the likes. 1221176106001-a-stresa_normal Continue reading

Sick day

It´s funny how body and psyche are interconnected

And yet they step in for each other if needed

Like today, when I´m down with a cold,

But my spirits are quite high.

It´s as if they got it

That I can´t do both at once

The being sick and the being sad

that is, so they gave me a break.

I´m not sad everyday anymore,

But still I´m grateful for a break,

Even though I blow my nose

A hundred times a day

And my mother is nagging about

Rubbing my throat

With salt on my finger

No thanks, I think I got it.

At least I´m not sad.
