Being home after 4 days of boring hotel life is a blast. Not only do I get to hang out with my two favourite guys in the world, but I can eat whatever I feel like, sleep to my heart’s content and move around without the need to put on a bra and take the elevator down 4 floors. Beat that! 😉
Yesterday my friend Cristina came over for some girl talk, Prosecco and pumpkin soup. We sat on the couch for ages, although the sun was up and outside it was Indian summer. We were just too lazy and couldn´t be bothered. So when I suggested an evening walk, V and Sam joined us to Sørenga and back. It was such a pretty evening- the sun was just setting, the air was still warm and people had started leaving, abandoning the beach in a magic mist of purple. Continue reading
August has been awesome so far! The weather is pretty on and off and makes me long for Greek beaches and cloudless skies, but our social life has been amazing. My brother is visiting with his wife, yesterday was V´s birthday and the rest of the crew is back from holidays. Later on this month a friend is coming over with her boyfriend for a short holiday and at the end of the month- my mom and auntie will be visiting us, too.
A couple of days ago we had great weather and we enjoyed the afternoon by the beach. You know those old ladies walking around with small dogs like they were their babies? That´s me in 30 years, only with a big fur baby! I´d made up my mind, I was never going to turn into one of these crazy dog ladies! I couldn´t stand them! Such a lack of insight! And yet I am all of that now. Most of my spare time revolves around Sam. I talk to him on the street. I kiss him loudly and I ´d do pretty much whatever it takes to make him smile, like in this picture.
It´s been so hot in Oslo it´s been difficult to do anything at all, really. Whenever I´ve worked I´ve done so early, but the way back has been an ordeal! I kept feeling I´d collapse before I´ll ever get home. And I find it hard to believe it, since it´s never been this hot this long in all the years I´ve been living here. So I keep pushing myself to do all the things I´d normally do at 25 degrees, but to no avail.
Yesterday I had to tend to my accountancy and since I don´t get internet from the garden I boiled inside. Today was a bit better, I had to translate some documents and I could do it in the garden with Sam, but no beach for this cutie!:-/
