Great Party

Last week was very intense and, as it usually happens with me when things pile up, it left me half dead. So this week I’ve been napping 2-3 hours a day on the days I could and otherwise gone through the motions with either a headache or a yawn. But hey, freelance life, getting on top of my finances and weekend studies, who said it was going to be easy?

Anyways, here I am, all the sashimi stash waiting in the kitchen, beer in the fridge and the man on his way home, how could I complain? Besides it’s Friday and tomorrow I’m hosting a party, God knows we all need a party from time to time, if not for the drinks, at least for the heels! 😉figmascarponetartsqdrizzle Continue reading

December

Hi, peeps! What’s up? I’m dead tired after working alone yesterday, whisper interpreting for many hours on end is the worst and my throat is still sore. So I called it a day off, took Sammy to the woods and now I’m planning to dose off on the couch for an hour or so. 😉Skjermbilde 2016-12-01 12.13.19.png Continue reading

Turbonegro Concert and Other Adventures

How are you? I’ve had an eventful weekend that included a punk-rock concert, a dinner with friends, brunch at the nearest café, a walk in the neighbourhood, a hangout with my neighbour who had forgotten her keys and today I’m hoping for  a Christmas market in town and coffee with a friend.

March

March came with promises of sunny weather, snow drops and tender feelings. I embrace it as hard as I can, I let it lead the way, stumbling down a couple of times, two steps forward and one step back, then all the way, head first. I feels like falling, but in a good way, probably like parachuting- free fall and yet you know there´s someone there to catch you.;-)12328443_566221703542290_1236103704_n

Happy again

Life sure has a way of catching you off guard and surprise the hell out of you. Just when you´ve given it all up and diagnosed yourself as a hopeless misfit, you find yourself happy again. At first it´s such a new emotion you don´t know what to do with it, or with yourself, for that matter. You panic, you cry, you break down. Just in case it needs to be done. Because it´s so beautiful it can´t possibly last. And you know what a hole it will leave in your existence if it doesn´t. But then it´s so good, so patient and so persistent, not asking anything from you that you´re not ready to give, not leaving you waiting, not playing with your feelings, not fucking it all up. So after a while you give in. 😉 And this very feeling is what makes life worth living, I swear!

SEEK advice

I promised you I´ll write a little about the contemporary fashion show we attended in Berlin- SEEK, as well as how to have a successful fair. 😉 This was my first fair as an exhibitor (assistant) and my second one as a visitor, so I can´t boast of much insight, but you tend to pick up a thing or two along the way. 😉

A night to remember

We´re back in Oslo, where it´s refreshingly chilly and time seems to have stood still, as in the trees are still in full bloom and you still need a jacket and a wool scarf to get by. 😉 For a couple of days now we´ve decluttered the place, thrown some stuff away, put some shoes on sale and now we feel lighter already. Thought I´d have a short break and write about our last night in Bucharest, when we went out for dinner and drinks with my best friend and her husband.

Dinner with Andra and Tom

Yesterday I finally got to meet Andra from Amsterdamming after being blog friends for a couple of years now. We realized we were in town at the same time and couldn´t miss this chance, globe trotters as we all are, who knows when fortune will find us in the same city again? So we arranged that the 4 of us meet up at a restaurant to enjoy a large and friendly meal together. The choice fell on Lacrimi si Sfinti, a renowned restaurant that “reinvents” traditional cooking in surprising and yet predictable ways. And we had the best of times! It´s so strange when you talk so much to someone that you feel you know her already, although you´ve never actually met her! IMG_3386 Continue reading

A night out in Bucharest

Since we´re on a holiday in Bucharest for some days now, we decided to invite my family out for a better meal. Choosing a restaurant would normally sound like a nice and simple task, but proved to be a mine field this time. Not this one, not that other one, not in the city centre, ´cause the buildings are crumbling down, not traditional food, ´cause it´s not properly cooked, but not Italian, either, ´cause you don´t go to town to eat spaghetti, you get the point… The whole thing turned into a quarrel and I and my father no longer speak for the moment. Democracy was never the strong point in our family.
