Petit Corée

Last weekend´s trip to London had a couple of nice surprises in store for me, including this exquisite culinary experience at The Petit Corée, a Corean French fusion restaurant in West Hampstead.

I was there with Lavinia, her boyfriend and her sister, Natalia, whom I didn´t manage to get a decent picture of, though. IMG_8161

December

There´s no snow here yet

It´s a wet  December

And I find most things a drag.

I´m off to London in a bit,

I´ll get my big city fix

And maybe some drizzle to go.

I love London, though

It´s a friendly place

For drinks and people watching

For getting lost in the masses

And for letting go.

Rainy Bergen

One of the good things about being a freelancer, besides taking a nap and baking cupcakes at noon once in a blue moon, is that I get to travel to places I haven´t been before or, even better, places I love already! ❤IMG_8073.jpg Continue reading

Urban Sunday

IMG_7876It took me many years to stop sighing for a bigger, more exciting city, like Paris, London and Berlin, and instead enjoy the cosy little Oslo we have. 😉 Yes, it´s a bit provincial, no, there aren´t as many good eateries or things to do as in a metropole, but you can get to the sea and the woods in 15 minutes, we have fresh air and pretty great neighbours (we’ve lived four places and definitely prefer the “rougher” East side, people are so much nicer!).

Last day in CPH

IMG_7594We´re home again after a grand weekend away from dog walks and cat poo, from fussing over dinner and going to work at all hours of the day. It´s been so good- sleeping late, eating out, having drinks with friends and discovering the neighbourhood. We´ve mainly kept to Vesterbro, with the exception of yesterday, when we walked all the way to Nyhavn, the canal downtown. The funniest part was when we realised Dyrehaven was just around the corner from our place and we´d walked for at least 20 minutes, round and round the block. Haha!

Weekend in Copenhagen

IMG_7463Greetings from Vesterbro, Copenhagen! We landed yesterday morning, it´s been drizzling ever since and the grey skies invite you to hibernate. Fortunately, we´ve rented a lovely apartment with airbnb and we can do just that. We took an early flight yesterday morning (and the only person who hates early flights more than me is V!) and we spent the afternoon in the neighbourhood, ate some yummy smørrebrød at Dyrehaven, had a coffee at Enghave Kafé and bought some wine at a local winery. I had me a nap while V watched Netflix and then we paid our friends a visit in Østerbro, where we shared some champagne and V helped with peeling root veggies. I was being a diva on the couch with an electric blanket on my belly since “that time of the month” renders me totally helpless.

Copenhagen October 2015

Weee, we´re going to Copenhagen again this fall! In just 2 weeks´ time we´ll be strolling down its quaint alleys and go for an amazing smørrebrød in one of its pretty cafés. We´re celebrating a friend of ours´ 50th birthday on Saturday and otherwise we´re thinking of just going with the flow, no shopping budget this time, so we might as well follow Nana Hagel´s recommendations from her interview with Ignant. In case you haven´t heard of her (although she´s quite famous!), she´s a travel and food enthusiast and writes for several magazines. 😉 Continue reading

Nodee

If you’re in Oslo during summer, you have to dine at Nodee! They have a lovely terrace, amazing Asian food and heating lamps, too! We took my mother and aunt there a couple of weeks ago to celebrate their getaway from work, a demanding grandchild and duties in general. And they loved it to bits!

Berlin Fashion Week

Hi y’all? Missed me yet? We´re in Berlin for the SEEK trade show and it´s been an adventure of all sorts! 😉 I have a couple of fair advice coming up, but this blog entry is about Berlin vibes and holiday “wanderlust”. I love this city, as you might have noticed if you´ve followed my travels for a while now. If there´s one city I´d move to in Europe regardless of the weather (and you know me and weather!) and language, it would be Berlin! Such a cool place, full of positive energy, creative people and progressive paths!
