Feeling a bit down

I feel like watching Spirited Away in bed, with a giant ice-cream bucket in my lap and Beo by my side. I´ve just turned 36 and, although I had a lovely birthday- flowers and champagne included- it was also tearful, with a touch of bitterness. I sat down for the first time with my soon to be ex-husband and we had a glass of wine, talking about old stuff and new stuff, like each other´s significant other, and it was so good and so absurd, it could have been a scene in one of these modern dramas.

Summer in September

I keep reading this September has the highest temperature recorded in over 100 years and while I´m concerned about our planet´s future, I couldn´t be happier for a prolonged summer. I can put on some shorts and a t-shirt and take Sammy out for an evening beer in the neighbourhood. 😉 14303698_10154332113296480_1982452820_o Continue reading

Elderberry Jam

So this week was super busy, which is why I haven´t had time to write about anything else than my trip to Stavanger and my dream wardrobe. Most of my life is pretty homey, though, walking around in tights, making dinner, doing the dishes, since the dishwasher has been broken for over half a year now, (Yes, I know I should have gotten a new one, but instead I used all my money on holidays and drinks), walking Sammy and binge-watching series on either Netflix or HBO._MG_9407.jpg Continue reading

Back to Work Wardrobe

Back in court and happy it´s fall, ’cause most of my wardrobe is for fall and spring. (I live in Norway, right?)  Each season I try to update my clothes a little bit, though, and if I could just go out and get anything I´d like it would be this. Skjermbilde 2016-08-31 21.01.49

Stavanger

A couple of weeks ago I received a mail about interpreting during a two-days case in Stavanger and although I answered within an hour, they´d already found someone else. I have to admit I was a bit beat up about it, not that much for the money itself, but for the opportunity to travel. Besides, what made me really upset was that the trial is in November, but an interpreter is not seen as worth more than a couple of minutes’ waiting, if you’re not available, someone else will be. So when I got a call on Friday afternoon about traveling there yesterday for work, I immediately said yes, although it took a couple of arrangements to make it. _MG_9366.jpg Continue reading

September <3

September is my favourite month of the year. I was born 5 days after school start in Romania and every September was a new opportunity to let the world know they had to celebrate me!;-)

I don´t think I liked myself very much between 10 and 30, but then again I never liked a lot of people, either. haha!  I´ve worked hard on accepting myself during the last years, though. As long as I have to live with myself, I´d better start liking myself, too. And liking oneself helps. It´s easier to set boundaries, for one. And hold grudges. haha! And make decisions, even if they hurt. And accept defeat. Or not._MG_7249.jpg Continue reading

Small Changes

Big changes are followed by small changes. I cling to the past, to things being the way they always were, but there are no cat steps anywhere to be heard and the week I don´t have Sam the apartment is full of silence. A strange silence, a silence I don´t know what to make of._MG_9261.jpg Continue reading
