Langos

Remember our trip to Budapest in the beginning of December? You don’t?! Then head over to my entry about it. Although I was in a particularly cranky mood and the lack of service got on my nerves like never before, we had some amazing food there! For our first lunch we ordered two big portions of goulash and they came with freshly baked langos. They were so good I promised myself to repeat the deed at home.

Espresso cookies 2018

How y’all doing? Nothing much here- dentist and doctor’s appointments, baking cookies and agonizing about my raging hormones and all their side effects. 😉 Sam is with us until the 25th and we’ve been walking and walking, he’s been enjoying himself and I’ve been pretending I did, too, for his sake. Meanwhile I’ve been longing for warmer places, both while day dreaming and in my sleep. 😉

Lunch at Sentralen

Ever since I moved away from the city centre, most weekends have been about walking Sammy, visiting friends or having people over for coffee. Thinking back I’ve probably stayed in more often than not- taking in the view, doing yoga and baking cake. And since there was no Sam to walk yesterday and we’d both been quite busy lately, I invited F out for lunch, like in the good old days. 😉

Israeli Baked Aubergines

_MG_2915If you’re anything like me lately- too busy for your own good, nurturing a bad cold and quite exhausted, to tell you the truth, then you’re in for a treat! These babies only take half an hour to make and they’ll fill your belly in the most indulging way! 😉 Continue reading

Baked pepper salad

IMG_2828

These days I’m trying to find back to my roots, without spending a whole day in the kitchen. I love cooking (and eating), but I prefer something new every day, so making a ginormous pot of cabbage rolls that I have to strive eating for an entire week is probably never going to happen in my kitchen. Unless I get my parents over for Christmas, that is.  Continue reading

Black Quinoa Salad with Nectarines

How have you been, my lovelies? I’m doing great, I get so much energy from my “newly discovered” hobby (photography and styling), it’s amazing! 😉 Every other day I try to make something yum in the kitchen and as long as there’s still light outside, I rush out with a plate and snap a photo. I don’t find it exhausting as cooking relaxes me and I need a good meal to wrap up the day anyways.

Elderberry adventures

On my way to yoga yesterday morning, I couldn’t help but notice a huge elderberry tree heavy with ripe berries glistening in the sun. For the entire yoga practice I couldn’t concentrate on the breathing since my mind was drifting towards the berries all the time: Run home and grab the scissors, no, wait, you need to wash your hair and put on a pretty dress first, so the pictures don’t turn into the ones you took a couple of years ago! (link further down) Haha!

Apricot Galette

For me, summer equals baking. I usually have a long holiday- there’s little to do in my branch when the courthouse is closed and although “crime never sleeps”, I can’t be bothered to take on just any assignments only to get out of the house. So I walk Sammy, I go to the beach, I read, I practice driving, I go to yoga and I bake. 😉
