Remember our trip to Budapest in the beginning of December? You don’t?! Then head over to my entry about it. Although I was in a particularly cranky mood and the lack of service got on my nerves like never before, we had some amazing food there! For our first lunch we ordered two big portions of goulash and they came with freshly baked langos. They were so good I promised myself to repeat the deed at home.

Xmas treats: Biscotti
Hi, peeps! How you’re doing? I’ve started my Xmas preparations as of yesterday and I thought I should share some recipes with you. I haven’t got around to decorating that much, although I did buy a tiny weeny potted tree, red tulips and some red berry branches. Thought I’d fix the rest this week- buy some amaryllis (if the bf’s not allergic to them), fetch the decoration box from the cellar and do the rest of my baking. But for now, here’s the biscotti recipe: Continue reading
Pizza buns
Grey, drizzly weather, drinking coffee and writing invoices when I suddenly feel the urge to bake. And since lunch hour was approaching, what better than pizza buns? Continue reading
Banana cake
It´s my first time making it and I love it! Aside from the fact that it´s super easy to put together, it tastes fantastic and I can have it for breakfast with coffee, since I never bother to eat a proper meal that early in the morning anyways. And I can take it with me to my assignments, too. On Saturday some friends are coming over from London and so I´m set for the visit, too. 😉 Haha! I´m such a practical person! Do give it a try!
American pancakes
How y’all doing? I´ve had a pretty intense week, worked hard enough, received the wood we´d ordered (and helped carrying it with my frail hands and all!), learned how to do the VAT on my own, baked a cake and I´m still alive! 😉 In between I devoured Christmas magazines, fell asleep watching River and messed up a couple of dates- a trial I thought to be this week turned out is due in January! Haha! Still, good it wasn´t the other way around..
I love Saturdays, they usually start in bed with coffee and Instagram, then I make some breakfast, if I can be bothered, not a morning person at all, listening to Madeleine Peyroux or Daniela Andrade, to get me in the mood. Today was one of those lucky breakfast days, I´d been fancying some American pancakes for ages now! So easy to make, I don´t know what kept me so long from trying! Do give them a chance! 😉

After watching a lovely, but incredibly sad movie called 28 Hotel Rooms, I needed some cheering up. Thought I´d give Etsy a try, it usually works. 😉
