Spring is out there and I for one feel like renewing my wardrobe, order holiday tickets and just paint the town red. (Don´t you just love this expression?! Not sure how often it´s used, but since I´m no native speaker, it´s my prerogative to play with language as I see fit, at least on my blog, don´t you agree? ;-))

This weekend was great. We partied hard on Friday, slept in on Saturday, dragged ourselves from couch to bed and back and had a lovely beef steak, wine and cheese for dinner. Sunday was brunch at our friends´ and seeing my father off to his plane. We then had a weissbier in a beer garden (Sam was with us, of course!) and binge-watched The Wire until we fell asleep on the couch. 
My father is visiting for a couple of weeks and since I didn´t have a lot of work these days, Sam and I got to be tourists, too. Today we went to the Akershus Fortress, where I´d only been a couple of times before, but which remains a “hidden gem” by the harbor. It´s from medieval times and they still use most of the buildings housing museums, the National Defense Guard, military offices and this sort of things. The cobblestone alleys and the low houses make you feel like you´re traveling back in time. If only there hadn´t been this many cars parked around!
This year we´re so lucky as to have 6 days off for Easter! 🙂 And since we stayed in Oslo and the weather has been on our side, we thought we´d take Sammy for nice trips here and there and enjoy our time together as a family. Now I won´t lie to you by saying that I couldn´t imagine a better Easter and that leaving town is overrated, ´cause I´d love to be somewhere nice and warm right now! However, since we´re heading to Romania in a month´s time and my father is visiting at the end of next week, we might as well make the best of our “staycation”, as they call it these days. 😉
I don´t know about you, but when it comes to me there´s nothing that tickles my fancy more than a gorgeous pair of shoes! 😉 And what better way to celebrate spring than with a brand new pair of Louboutins? 😉 These are my all time favorite!
The last couple of days in Oslo have been sunny and wonderful! And it´s been great, since it´s Easter break for most of us. Although I worked a tiny bit on Monday and yesterday and V is at the shop today, it still feels like we own the city, since many people have already left on a holiday. I remember a time when it used to depress me, especially hearing people saying they liked the quiet and empty streets. I used to think “what are you doing in the city, then”? But I don´t mind it anymore, it feels good to travel at other times of the year and we´re not so sporty, so the mountains are fine where they are, far away. 😉
Today it was spring in every sense of the word! Although only 3 degrees in the shade, the sun was warm and lovely and you could see a carpet of flowers on the ground and the trees getting back their green coat, too! A couple of weeks from now and everything will be in bloom! 😉 Can´t wait!
I fell for the frail jewelry from HapaGirls on Etsy. I don´t own anything from them, yet, but I think their naive motifs are so beautiful that it´s just a matter of time. 😉 Especially now, that spring is slowly taking over, I find myself more prone to wear jewelry and I also feel more like going out. Hope you also find some seasonal inspiration here. 😉

Spring is coming at last and it feels so good! I brought a couple of peach blossom branches home today and the white cuties bloomed, so the apartment looks festive and warm. Sammy boy is enjoying his walks, mostly with his pops, since I´ve had a major flu for some days now. He keeps finding gloves and stuff and is ever so happy to carry them around in his mouth.
Work is steadier now and I guess I´m relieved, although I´ve been enjoying my lazy couple of months, too. But now it´s a good time to be busy, the weather makes is easier to get out of the house and just savor a cup of coffee in the sun. Finding an outfit to wear is also more pleasing when you don´t have to think about being warm all the time. 😉 I´ll be sure to post a couple of pictures about that later on this week.
I hope you have a great week! I´m slowly recovering and looking forward to salmon sashimi with white rice and cucumber salad, although I have absolutely no taste or smell whatsoever. 😉
Spring is around the corner and it´s never felt better. Although it´s that day of the month and I´ve been in horrible pain since yesterday, I find some dozing off, the right amount of chocolate and a good sparkling Jacob´s Creek make it all better. So after watching a couple of episodes of “Low Winter Sun”, and “passing out” into an hour´s coma, I felt rejuvenated and ready to take Sammy for his afternoon walk. 😉 We found some pussy willow branches and I came home to my new magazine. If it ain´t everyday bliss, I don´t know what is! 😉
Max Mara is my all time favorite brand and their timeless dresses make my heart skip a beat whenever I see them. So what better day to post these beauties than on a Monday, and a rainy/snowy one moreover? The weather Gods still haven´t decided if it´s winter or spring, one thing is certain though, keep inside and dream of palm trees, if you can! And while dreaming of summer, take a look at some dresses that would make a grown man cry! 😉 Whether you´re a smart business woman, a sporty or a classic gal, there´s something here for everyone! These would be my choices if money was no issue. 😉 Wish I had a bottle of prosecco to drown my longing while we´re at it!
