Counting my Blessings

Hi, how are you doing? I´ve been busy working, billing and walking Sammy boy. 😉  And then my parents came for a short visit with some friends of theirs and I tried my best to make them feel welcome, while still being a somewhat good doggy mamma and girlfriend. They were cheerful and loud, gesticulating and interrupting each other, like in an Italian mob movie, they scrubbed my casseroles and my microwave and scolded me for not being “womanly” enough as in washing and tidying up, not only wearing dresses and baking cakes 😉 Haha! (they had a point, though..)13419164_10153663494286711_688395875379096447_n Continue reading

Blooming

How are you all? I´ve been busy paying bills and making amends with my reckless living for the past five months. Y-ha!

On the other hand I haven´t been this good in ages. I work (although that chapter´s been a bit skimpy), I take my Sammy out for walks in the sun- the weather was amazing yesterday and we enjoyed it in the Botanical garden, I go to coffee dates with my other freelance friends, to the cinema- saw El Club yesterday (wouldn´t recommend it, though), I cook real meals, read books, watch House of Cards and socialize. 😉 And otherwise float on a big pinkish cloud. 😉13006474_10153531554086711_7301353363825007439_nSakura in Oslo. 😉 How beautiful is this? I feel alive again every time spring awakens mother nature. 😉12986794_1286494971365538_1898986082_oParty version of me. 😉12990944_10153530124921711_2152984765004156160_n12987022_10153531553906711_3023768362033731865_nMe and my bud, squinting in the sun. Coffee never tasted better than on this stone, in the woods, after walking for an hour or so. 😉12991076_10153530124936711_8869047509845669190_nFound me a toy!12974420_10153529430611711_8663800883899868255_nPicked some flowers.12931130_10153525389876711_8617417898715736190_nMet an Eurasier. Spring

Spring is coming at last and it feels so good! I brought a couple of peach blossom branches home today and the white cuties bloomed, so the apartment looks festive and warm. Sammy boy is enjoying his walks, mostly with his pops, since I´ve had a major flu for some days now. He keeps finding gloves and stuff and is ever so happy to carry them around in his mouth.

Work is steadier now and I guess I´m relieved, although I´ve been enjoying my lazy couple of months, too. But now it´s a good time to be busy, the weather makes is easier to get out of the house and just savor a cup of coffee in the sun. Finding an outfit to wear is also more pleasing when you don´t have to think about being warm all the time. 😉 I´ll be sure to post a couple of pictures about that later on this week.

I hope you have a great week! I´m slowly recovering and looking forward to salmon sashimi with white rice and cucumber salad, although I have absolutely no taste or smell whatsoever. 😉

I´m back!

In case you´ve missed me, I´ve been down with a terrible cold with fever and sneezing and the whole shabam. And since I had some work to do instead of  nurturing my cold it took me ages to recover. Now I´m back on track and ready to roll!;-)

Anyway. Let me tell you about the week that passed. It kind of started on Wednesday, before that I was too sick and too tired to care about anything else than work and sleep. To sum it up, it was all about eating and socializing, as I was lucky not to have too much work on my agenda.

Wednesday- lunch with my lovely friend Elif at The Nighthawk Diner, burgers and fries. Chit chatting and chilling, the perks of being a freelancer finally pay off.

Thursday- out with my friend Kristin, dinner and margaritas at Taco Republica. It´s a fairly new and trendy eatery in Oslo, where they only serve organic food in a cosmopolitan environment.

Friday I had lots of time for my beauty sleep, but also for a walk with Sammie, his girlfriend and a couple of friends. In the evening we attended a fare-well party for a Danish friend who´s both moving back to Copenhagen and getting married. Now that´s what I call a wonderful excuse for social get-together and some bubbles!

Saturday greeted us with sunshine, Vuong took Sammy to the woods while I saw The Forsyte Saga. We then met some friends for coffee, had Chinese dim-sum  at Taste of China and made some pizza for a couple of friends in the evening.

Today was for a good day for soup and reading The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak. It´s a compelling book, but not really my type of writing, so I can’t wait to start a new one.

Here are some pictures.  Hope you had a good week!
