ATP ATELIER

If you haven´t heard of them yet, listen here and listen good! 😉 I love this brand since it manages to merge continental style with Scandinavian simplicity in a way that makes me want all their shoes! I particularly like their sandals, which is why I chose to write about them in the first place.

ATP ATELIER – All Tomorrow’s Parties, was founded in 2010 by old friends Jonas Clason and Maj-La Pizzelli. They first met in the late 80’s at legendary Swedish fashion brand and retail stores Gul & Blå. Although they admired each other´s sense of style, they worked in different arenas for 20 years and then met again when the time was just right.

Love from Cyprus

Inspired by the sudden “heat wave” we´re experiencing (don´t be too jealous, it´s only for three days!) as well as the style files´ Summer Essentials, I discovered a Cyprus-based brand that makes the most appealing sandals. You can visit their Etsy shop here. They´re definitely on my list! 😉

I´ve actually just bought a pair of amazing white sandals from Stefanel and last year I was so lucky as to get my hands on these babies from Ancient Greek Sandals. But hey, who says I don´t need more?!;-) In Norway I won´t be wearing them out any time soon, but as soon as I get to a lovely island in the Mediterranean, I won´t be needing anything else. Filippa K

I don´t know about you, but Filippa K is my favourite Scandinavian brand. In my mind, their light, simple and a bit androgyn line embodies the very Scandinavian elegance. Wearing their clothes I´m seldom overdressed (my cardinal sin otherwise), I can move without restrictions and I feel drop dead gorgeous. This year I´ve cut down on my shopping drastically, but I´m thinking of splurging a tiny bit as soon as the sales are here! 😉 (needless to say I´d love their entire collection!)

Summer

It´s 2nd of June and there´s no sign of summer at all in Oslo. In fact, I turned up the heat yesterday and today, after venturing outside in the rain, with a broken umbrella and a pair of patent leather Louboutins for no reason at all (it turned out my services weren´t needed after all), I came home with a single urge: to make myself a warm cup of tea and put on a pair of wool socks. And since the prospects of hot weather are slim this year (we´re only going to Berlin in July), I thought I should take you with me on a trip to memory lane by showing you a couple of pictures from previous holidays and my outfits, of course. 😉

A night to remember

We´re back in Oslo, where it´s refreshingly chilly and time seems to have stood still, as in the trees are still in full bloom and you still need a jacket and a wool scarf to get by. 😉 For a couple of days now we´ve decluttered the place, thrown some stuff away, put some shoes on sale and now we feel lighter already. Thought I´d have a short break and write about our last night in Bucharest, when we went out for dinner and drinks with my best friend and her husband.

Dreaming of summer

After spending 12 days in Romania, where summer had come to stay, I feel rejuvenated and ready to plan a trip to the riviera. Unfortunately, this won´t happen too soon, since we´re going to a trade show in Berlin in July and have to prepare a bit for that. But we´re either going to NY, Nice or Copenhagen in September and besides, summers can be a real treat in Oslo, with the proximity to the harbor and all the islands a boat trip away. 😉 No matter how it turns out, this is what I´m dreaming of wearing this summer. Spring is out there and I for one feel like renewing my wardrobe, order holiday tickets and just paint the town red. (Don´t you just love this expression?! Not sure how often it´s used, but since I´m no native speaker, it´s my prerogative to play with language as I see fit, at least on my blog, don´t you agree? ;-))

Max Mara is my all time favorite brand and their timeless dresses make my heart skip a beat whenever I see them. So what better day to post these beauties than on a Monday, and a rainy/snowy one moreover? The weather Gods still haven´t decided if it´s winter or spring, one thing is certain though, keep inside and dream of palm trees, if you can! And while dreaming of summer, take a look at some dresses that would make a grown man cry! 😉 Whether you´re a smart business woman, a sporty or a classic gal, there´s something here for everyone! Tallowin purses

My husband works with leather and since the market in Norway is small, he´s doing a lot of research abroad to place his goods in bigger stores. On one of his daily “wanderings” in the internet design jungle, he stumbled upon Mark Tallowin, a British purse maker. I love the clean lines and the elegant look of his bags!
