A weekend in Rome

Hand on my heart, this trip was the best holiday I´ve ever had! 😉 It wouldn´t have turned out this great if I´d planned it in detail, in fact, the surprise element is exactly what made it so good. It was all about the senses- good food, good drink, new experiences, furry friends and effortless conversation.

I´ve done so many things for the first time this weekend, you have no idea! 😉 Like riding a motorbike in a guy´s jacket, with a guy´s eye shades, mascara running black down my face and my smile stone-still from the cold, painted red on my face. I´ve “fed” stones to swans, had the best hot chocolate in my entire life in Anguillara, a small town by the coast an hour away from Rome, climbed a “mountain” in high heels and ate proper Italian linguine and clams in a proper Italian home.

Boxing Day

Yey, people are coming back to the city! 😉 Boxing Day is still a day off here, but at least the coffee shops are open again! So I had a date with Merete at Hotel Bristol, where they serve the best hot chocolate in town. Unfortunately, the camera´s battery flattened out by the time they served us the treat, but I did get to snap a couple of pictures of our lovely little Oslo, just as the sun was setting (2 o´clock!). IMG_8658 Continue reading →

Another week has gone by

Long time, no see. I was busy with my guests, who left on Wednesday afternoon, then worked long hours on Thursday and then summer came back to Norway, so I had to make sure I enjoyed it properly! 😉 Actually summer came back on Wednesday, so we´ve been frantic about staying outside in the sun, drinking ice coffee and white wine, going to the beach and so on.
