These pictures are from September, I completely forgot about them. It was such a lovely month- good weather and lots of goodies to eat. A new café/wine bar opened in the neighbourhood- Galgen and we took Sammy there for a treat. Lazy mornings- perfect for scones and elderberry jam. Continue reading

Saturday morning
Woke up way too early from a congested nose and a bad cough, read some papers online and indulged myself in drinking coffee in bed. 😉 I was planning to go to a flea market with Sammy, but I still don´t feel great, so I´ll leave it for the next weekend. Don´t think I´d be interested in any treasures with people all over me.
I could make some scones and style the house. Maybe later. Think I might just read a book and make myself some good old-fashioned cocoa for the moment. And then man up for a longer walk with Sammy boy, it´s such a nice way of bonding! Besides, the sun is shining and it´s one of those beautiful spring days. I should try to make something out of it. 😉 I think I might lay here and drink some more coffee for a while, though. This is my view.
Regular scones
Today we´re invited to lunch at our old neighbor in Grønland and I thought I should be taking something more with me besides the lemon curd. And what would be more suitable than scones? Besides, it only takes 20 minutes to make, including the baking time!
Lemon Curd
I started making lemon curd a few years back, curious to see what it was, since the recipe´s owner said she´d been living in England and could´t live without it! I´ve made it for Christmas ever since. I usually find some pretty jars around and give most of it away as go to-gifts or small Christmas presents. The rest we eat for breakfast with scones or on top of some Pavlova cake.
This Easter we´re lucky to have 5 days off and I´m enjoying my first one today. I made the lemon curd and baked the meringue cake, tomorrow I´ll just be reading a book and eat out if the weather allows it.
