Bergen

Although I’d taken my camera with me, I didn’t snap one picture in four days. In fact, I didn’t even bother to take it out of my luggage. The weather has been beyond crappy, so the insta pics will have to do. 🙂Skjermbilde 2017-03-25 11.35.15Besides working hard, agonizing about my working conditions and about how everybody expects interpreters to be flexible (and I must be the most inflexible person I know!), I overslept, overeate and went on a little shopping spree, too. Excess- that’s my middle name! 😉 Kidding.

I had dinner with friends on two of the evenings and the remaining two I read a book, watched TV and ate something on my own. 😉 Pergola Mat og Vinbar is a lovely cave for wine tasting and chatting the night away with friends nibbling on cheese and ham and the first place I’ll take my love to when we go there next weekend. 😉

In just four days I witnessed rain, hail, snow and itty bitty sun, too. Whenever I used to hear Norwegians speak of 4 seasons in a day, I’d flutter my eyelashes and think to myself yeah right. But this week I experienced it myself, so next time I’ll nod in acknowledgement. 😉

Otherwise I found Bergen shabbier than last time, some wooden houses had burned to the ground and the rest looked tired and old and crooked. Besides, many stores had closed their doors, my favourite one had gone bankrupt and the second was moving to Oslo.

Until Monday evening, I’ll be at home, enjoying the sun and the company of Sam and Frederic. 😉

xxx, Alina
