I’ve started writing a bit, nothing amazing, just short stories I have trouble wrapping up, so that’s why you haven’t heard from me in a while now. Otherwise I’ve been walking Sam in the woods and taken lots of pictures of mushrooms, there’s an awful lot of them this year and they’re so pretty! I’ve been trying to go to a mushroom course for two weeks in a row now, but the planets don’t seem to be aligning in order for that to happen- either I need to work or they’re fully booked. Oh, well. Next year, then!
Last week I turned 37 and we went out to dinner at Izakaya- a Japanese restaurant that looks more like a student canteen, but serves yummy small dishes in a friendly atmosphere, then to an Ane Brun concert. It was lovely and we came home warm and tipsy and got lots of smooches from Sam. On Saturday we went out again for pizza and beer with friends at Hell’s Kitchen. I got lots of nice presents and treated myself to a new vase, a massage and a haircut. And a couple of blouses from the newly opened APC – did I mention how much I love French brands?!
This is Sam begging for walkies, while I’m busy drinking coffee and tasting the chocolate I’d got the day before.
On Saturday I stopped by the local flea market where I found a whole bag of books I can’t wait to start reading. I jumpstarted on “My Struggle”, although I already had a couple of other books waiting and the verdict is clear: don’t waste time on a mediocre book when there are writers like Knausgård!
Fall is settling in- the colours turn red and yellow and chestnuts keep falling on the ground. I feel better than I have in a long while and I’m looking for tickets home to celebrate my niece’s 5th birthday.
Have a lovely weekend, babes!
