Three weeks to go and my apartment will be someone else’s. I haven’t usually been that emotionally tied to the flats I’ve lived in, in fact, I normally can’t wait to move and start over somewhere else. And I haven’t been that youhuu-happy in it, either, still, for one reason or another it’s a really really sad departure.
These days I’ve been going through papers and stuff, throwing away greeting cards for our wedding almost 12 years ago and my marriage certificate, shedding a tear here and there, reading small notes from my ex-husband and reminiscing how young we were when we first got together and how it all feels like an eternity ago.
In addition to that I’ve been having difficulties with moving in into my bf’s apartment, even though I know it’s short term, I’m used to finding a place together and taking over it like equals and besides I guess I’m a bit used to calling the shots, too. But hey, change is not for new beginners!
Enough about this, two more sleeps and we’re off to France! Montpellier, here we come! We’re staying at this really cute airbnb in the heart of the city and I can’t wait to escape defendants and court sessions and prison visits and anybody else’s frustrations but mine. Haha! Looking forward to going back to simple living, listening to my own body for sleep, hunger, thirst and so on, you get the picture.
As for summer reads, I’d love a couple of recommendations, I’m totally out of it, haven’t had peace of mind for either reading nor working out, but all this is going to change pretty soon. 😉
I hope you all have an amazing summer!
xxx, Alina
