I’m in Halden for a couple of days with work and I took Sammy with me. The reason I did that is because I’ve travelled a bit too much lately and asked too many favors from everybody. Besides Halden is not that far and we could get here by train, and it’s fun to hang out in the afternoon, or else I end up staying in my room, sometimes even skipping dinner- too lazy to get dressed- and eating overly expensive hotel peanuts. 😉 haha!
So here we were yesterday, taking our evening walk around the old town, cute little houses lit by candle light with elderly people dosing off by the fireplace, it was so lovely I almost felt like knocking on one door and asking for hospitality. Haha!
Today there was a delay and we didn’t start work until 11 o’clock and so I and my colleague took Sammy on a nice little trip to the fortress on the hill. He was ecstatic, especially since he wasn’t expecting it at all.
After work, I did a bit of shopping and then we walked almost the same path, while there was still some light left. Fortunately, I didn’t break any bones, although the weather is starting to get tricky and my shoes are slippery as f*. Although I feel sleepy and lazy now, I’m going to put on some clothes and check out the Italian place in the corner. It’s supposed to be the best choice in town, if you don’t count the gourmet restaurant within the fortress.
Tomorrow we’re going home again and I can’t wait.
