Sitting on my couch and looking out at the rain pouring down, I can’t help but feeling this year has flown so fast. It’s November already, Christmas is around the corner and so is our trip to Marrakech. 😉
As I told you, this week I was Halden with Sam for two days, it was sunny and the air was crisp. It was a golden fall- misty mornings and falling leaves – and we enjoyed it walking around in the old town, peeping into people’s homes and looking forward to a fireplace of our own.
We’re still looking for a new home, F and I, although we agreed we won’t be moving again right now. I like the hunting and I like living here, too, but I wish we had more space so I could bring all my stuff. For now it’s lying around waiting in two storage rooms.
The days go by fast, working out of town and having Sam for two weeks in a row- there’s quite some logistics involved in it. And since we don’t live in the city centre anymore, our social life has shrunk considerably. I don’t mind it that much, though, funny how a relationship can change one’s needs so much, most days the two of us is plenty.
Also having been a freelancer for more than 7 years now, I know how to spend some quality time on my own, treating myself to a yummy lunch after a stressful day or a thai massage when it’s been too much at work.
But Saturdays are the best. I wake up and brew some coffee, put the Kitchen Aid to work on a pancake batter, feed Sammy some treats and then let the Saturday begin! 😉
How are you doing and what have you been up to lately?
xxx, Alina
